Eat Dinner & Stop at the Overlook

First, we recommend driving to nearby Port Rexton to check out the Port Rexton Brewery for dinner. Sit on the patio with a freshly brewed beer and enjoy the evening. Complete with a delicious food truck featuring grilled cheese and poutine called Oh My Cheeses, you can’t go wrong!
Next, head to Trinity Newfoundland as the sun goes down. You will experience one of the most charming villages on “The Rock”. As you enter the town, just past the cemetery, stop at one of the best views of the village.
As the sun sets and golden light pours over the lupins, you’ll experience a jaw-dropping scene that doesn’t feel real. This spot overlooks The Artisan Inn and other historic homes.
Go for a Walk

Next, park in the public parking lot near the Visitor Centre and take a stroll through the colorful town of Trinity. Head south on West Street until you come to a junction. Take the road straight onto High Street.
You will pass the Artisan Inn and Rocky’s Palace as you head up the hill toward Sweet Rock Ice Cream. This is a great place for an after-dinner snack. Who can turn down ice cream? Not me! The ice cream is made from scratch right here in Trinity Newfoundland.

Next, head down Water Street, take in the views, and visit Most Holy Trinity Church. It is the oldest standing wooden church in Newfoundland! Built in 1833, the bell tower was added in 1880.

In addition, Saint Paul’s Anglican Church is also located here. Saint Paul’s Anglican Church has been standing since the late 1800s. Lastly, visit its cemetery to learn more about the history of the church and discover unique gravestones.
End Your Day at The Rising Tide Theatre
Finally, every summer and fall, Rising Tide Theatre puts on some great shows every night. Book your tickets directly with the theatre and check the website for updates on the schedule.
Choose from various evening performances, The New Founde Lande Trinity Pageant, or a dinner theatre. The New Founde Lande Trinity Pageant is a walking tour of the town put on and led by quirky characters of the town’s past.
